staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect for my business needs, with great access to public transport. However, some additional amenities like a complimentary breakfast would have been nice.

Mornings were quite uncomfortable too, as I wasn't allowed to sit in the outdoor patio and was told to use a hard bench in the lobby instead, with no coffee available.

Hotel Monterey Kyoto offered a fantastic stay with a unique classic design that really stood out. Just a 10-minute walk to Nishiki Market made it super convenient for exploring the area. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, which added to the positive experience. Rooms were impeccably clean and included various amenities—such as slippers and a fridge—making the stay comfortable. I really appreciated having a local supermarket just 100 meters away for easy snack options. However, I did find it disappointing that there was no smart TV in the room, which limited entertainment options. It would have been nice to log into Netflix or Amazon Prime Video during downtime. Overall, the experience was enjoyable, but a few modern upgrades could elevate it even more.

I stayed 3 nights in a Standard Double Room Non-Smoking. The amenities were excellent, especially the Japanese baths on the top floor. Location is near subways and bus stops, making travel easy. Staff was friendly and spoke English. A great value overall! 🌟

I stayed in a family room that perfectly fit my crew with tons of space for our bags! 🌟 The SPA on the 13th floor was a highlight for me and my daughter, with four fabulous pools and a lovely steam room. Plus, I loved that we were just a 20-minute walk from Nishiki Market and had awesome coffee nearby to fuel our adventures!

Loved the onsen — the outdoor section is stunning! Just a heads up, the shower design could use improvement. water spillage is an issue. Overall, a comfy stay! 😊
